Operation Play Outdoors are excited to bring back their outdoor programme for adults, Wellbeing Wednesdays, starting on the 26th August 2020. We have a range of exciting natural crafts projects and woodland experiences for adults to try after summer. Come join us for an afternoon of fun and activities in the woods all designed to bring people together, get back outdoors and socialise while still maintaining all the necessary physical distancing and hygiene requirements in line with government guidance.
It is time to get back out, enjoy meeting with people and enjoy the benefits of being out in nature. Our activities are great to improve your wellbeing, and our activities are all delivered by trained and experienced facilitators to ensure you get the most from your outdoor experience.
Above are the dates of all our upcoming Wellbeing Wednesday workshops and each session will be held in Glasgow’s Southside, from 1.30-4.30pm. We have a different theme for each workshop and every session will be led by an experienced facilitator who will take you through the beginner steps for in these natural crafts. With a hands on, practical session, this experience guarantees an interactive and enjoyable time outdoors, under the trees enjoying the peaceful woodland environment and getting to meet and chat to others who share the same interest in natural crafts.
Time in nature can reduce your stress and lift your mood. You will have a chance to learn some different craft techniques as well as making your own natural crafts to take away. In every Wellbeing Wednesday session, we guarantee you will have something not only physical to take away but also a new experience and memory that could ignite a new passion for natural crafts.
This will be a relaxed and fun session which will boost all those happy hormones in your body.
As part of our 3-hour workshops you will get to learn about the fire making process, and we will brew freshly foraged tea on the fire for all to try as well as having all the other tea and coffee essentials available throughout the session.
Come join us for an afternoon of crafts in the woods, have some tea, share some stories and even toast some marshmallows before you head home. Our Wellbeing Wednesday sessions are open to all adults and we’d be happy to answer any questions you have before making a booking.
